If you have the dots, you should have the sensors unless the bumper was replaced. When you put the car in reverse and backup you should hear a beep that gets faster as you get closer to an object.

Your 2005 cabrio has parking sensors as a standard feature. The dots are normally painted the same color as the bumper.

As daflake says, you should hear beeping as you back up close to an object. If you don't hear beeping, the fuse may be blown and you should get it checked (the fuse is shared with the power steering cooling fan which is a common failure).

As rkw stated, all cabrios have them. Check the fuse if you don't here the beeping, mine has blown several times. If it is blown, get the fan checked. I found sometimes small rocks get in there, and one it's cleaned cleaned out the fan works fine.

On my 2006 cabrio it is fuse F41 (5A) in the drivers side footwell fusebox. Some people said it is F40 on their car, so it may be different depending on the year. Try it out first by backing up towards a wall. You should hear beeping when the bumper gets within a couple of feet.

There is no volume control, that is as loud as it gets.

The parking sensor volume is a dealer programmable option, and it is mentioned in the Owner's Manual. However, according to this post: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...le-option.html, the setting is 1-6 with a default of 5. Unless it had been changed previously, you only have one additional step. Personally I find the default volume to be almost too loud.

Totally forgot about that. Still, there is no easy way to do it and dealers charge way too much to reprogram it.
