Name this part!

I have a 2005 Mini Convertible. Today I was moving the passenger seat forward, and reaching underneath the seat for trash I came up with this part: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...3/ppuser/63489
Any idea what it is?

Yes, that is a plastic block for the jacking points under the side sills. There should be two blocks on each side.

no. Toe truck drivers usually remove then to flat bed a vehicle or they just fall off or get torn off from time to time. make sure you got all 4 and stick it in a drawer as a spare. they are like 25 bucks each

HOLY C#$%!!! That's your rear seat magnetic transducer. It keeps your rear passangers firmly planted in their seats. Make sure nobody rides in the back w/o that on.

ThomB, I like that idea. Maybe you should start that thread.

LOL. Not likely a problem. I'm 6' 5", I have the driver and passenger seats pushed back as far as they'll go. My backseat is useless for passengers.
