Sure am glad to see this club pop up AFTER I already sold mine!

Just kidding...you all enjoy your rides as much as I enjoyed the 10k miles I got out of mine!

Felicidades Xavier! And Bienvenidos too! I think you might be my nearest Sidewalk neighbor so far. I haven't been to Monterrey since I was a kid, but we've been talking about going sometime. Your White Silver sounds great!

Great choice for a theme song! It reminds me of many of my past loves and lusts, and of course my current one, our MINI!

Thanks Quesera. We are just a four hour drive away. (plus customs which can be a drag somedays). I go to San Antonio about twice a year. It is actually a very popular destination for us in Monterrey. I´ll tell you beforehand next time so we can grab a beer or something, although I doubt the wife will concur on taking the mini all the way there. But if you visit Monterrey don't hesitate to contact and I can arrange whatever you need.

A newbee question here. The badge that xbass talks about in the first post, is it just web or are they actually available somewhere? If yes, are they magnet or how do they attach to the car?

I updated my first post with some pictures from last week when the mini left the mother ship.

regards,
Xavier

xgarza,

Right now the Badge is something you can copy and add to your signature. Instructions are on the forum, or I can PM you the info. I have the combined White Silver and Sidewalk Owners badges formatted as on my signature. I can PM that to you too.

I am waiting for a high-rez version of the badge, but COOPERation is busy working on Dragon stuff, so it may be a while. Then I will get pricing on a magnetic badge.

That'd be awesome! Although, can you have it made with a SS Cabrio Sidewalk?

Ordered My New Sidewalk

So, I did it. I ordered a brand new 2008 Sidewalk edition Pepper White. The color choice was killing me. It was between Pepper White and White Silver. I like both of them, but wound up going with the Pepper White version.

Should arrive end of May.

Congratulations Banjo!

It will be worth the wait. You will need to amuse yourself by tracking it's progress on line. That helps to pass the time.

None the less, way to long a wait to get the car. Its so nice out today I keep dreaming how nice it would be to tool around in my convetible

Are you going to the Mini Takes the States event in June up in your area?

Hey JWalls,

Congrats on the new car. Im waiting on mine. Black is definately cool I wanted to get it in that color, but my experience with black has always been a headache and wanted some relief from that this time around.

Keep us posted of any issues that come up with the car

Hi, Everyone. I received my 2008 Sidewalk on January 6th. It has EVERYTHING on it except....heated seats. And I live in Minneapolis! I bought this amazing car on ebay, with 1072 miles on it. Since it was built to live in Texas, no heated seats!!

So:

1. http://web.mac.com/barbaragreenspon1
2. Despite having her for 4 months, I have yet been able to settle on a
name.
3. Minneapolis, MN
4. Sparkling Silver (sure looks taupe to me)
5. Cooper S
6. 60's (!)
7. Hate tests
8. None as of yet. Would like to decide on name first.
9. Aftermarket Sidewalk screen
10. Attempting to use NewMiniStuff's bluetooth phone set up. It works
great till it does something weird to the battery (see:https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=136563

Now it's official.

I'm no longer waiting for delivery, as I picked up my Sidewalk today.
It was a long day, and a typical overcast with light rain day at that.

I've attached a couple of pics at the dealer before the long drive home.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Can't make the event-- we're in the Outer Banks until second week in May. Thanks for telling me, though!

Congrats!

She's a beauty! (I can't imagine driving LHD on narrow British roads )
