BTW - making progress on Magnetic Grill Badges (yeah!) ... have to wait until after 'the Dragon' then they should be available. (already have my badge holder ready) I'll keep you posted!

 

Dealer called today, the car is somewhere on the Atlantic ocean, so that means i'll take delivery in 2 weeks max he told me, TOTALLY AWESOME. I'm getting real excited here

when did you order? what is/was your production week?

 

Unfortunatly, in Canada, we dont have a "production week", so I was told by my dealer anyways. We dont have the "ask mini" number to phone to know where the car is either.

If I understand how it work, they put the order thrue Mini, and as soon as there is one that is built to my specs, they ship it to the dealer.

 

Ahh, I got my hopes up... Ours isn't even scheduled to start production until the beginning of June!

 

Did they confirm Malt Brownfor yours? I thought MINI was making the last couple months of Sidewalk production for the US market Black with Silver piping - which would still be cool looking...especially on the White Silver. And, you'd have a REALLY unique Sidewalk.

 

After seeing the postings this weekend about Sidewalks with black interiors, I had to recheck our order docs - my wife was adamant that we would not buy anything with black seats... it is confirmed that we have malt brown leather.

Didn't mean to confuse or mislead anyone about the malt brown.

The UK spec Sidewalks are getting black leather since week 10 production.

Just thought it was an interesting bit of trivia.

 

okay, here's my brownflyer windscreen. as you can see, we've changed much of the malt brown trim to black in an effort to make it more "invisible." undoubtedly, some of you will prefer the more visable/malt brown trim.....but now we have another option!!!

I get the 'Hybrid' now . . . the headrest covers match the Malt Brown and the (?)bridge piece(?) is black. Looks like a good choice for BRG & Black, but I like the all Malt Brown for my White Silver and SS / PW etc.

 

I spoke a little too soon....Monday I got an emergency appendectomy. My shiny black sidewalk is at the dealer waiting on my recovery! Man...I hurt big time. Hopefully Thursday or Friday latest!!

We received our Brownflyer (Sidewalk) windscreen - looks just like Janet's (J3kidford, post 120) and we took it for a spin today... HUGE difference in turbulence reduction and the construction & design is first rate recommended (thanks Ev!)

Looks awesome! I love the grill....My pepper white one comes in a few weeks. Funny though, the grill you have was not offered on the sidewalk at my dealer. Is that an aftermarket grill? Looks awesome!

 

That's the 'stock' Mini aero package as fas as I know. I'll check tomorrow and get back to you. Thanks for the ups

 

Youre right. Just checked mini usa and indeed it is the stock aero. I love the grill. I think its an after market item at my dealership ie an dealer install, so Im definately gonna add it to my car! Just love it

Did youre dealer install those bonnet stripes too?
