Cruise is a personal taste. I ordered my MCS with cruise. I'll use it all of the time and the wife never will. If you like having cruise on an auto, you'll like it just as much on a standard.

By standard can I assume you mean stick shift I have cruise control on my Mini, it's a stick & it's no different than having cruise on an automatic. I get on the hwy in 6th gear & set the cruise at my speed & let it do the driving

My 6 speed has buttons on both sides of the wheel! You'll enjoy them. Do it now when you order. Will cost a fortune later.

I use cruise control in all my cars. My favorite aspect is when going through the park where the speed limit is 25, I'll set the cruise so I don't need to worry about speeding. There have been plent of times I'd catch myself going 35 when I would forget to set it...

Since I don't have my car yet, can anyone tell me the lowest speed the cruise can be set at? My Mazdaspeed can be set at anything, my Jeep requires the car be at lease 30 to set, but I can lower it to 28 and my old SVT was 25.

I rarely use the cruise control but I use the radio buttons all the time. Cruise control, however, can affect your resale --this was my deciding factor for getting the MFSW.

Some use it, some don't -- it really is a personal choice (as are stereo controls on the wheel), but the point is: the transmission has no effect on the decision.

I know it's personal choice, but unless you're spending all day on the interstate, why use cruise control? For one thing, US highways are getting so crowded, it's borderline dangerous to use because traffic prevents maintaining a constant speed for very long (unless you're one of those yahoo left lane bandits. . .) In my view, using cruise is analagous to riding not driving. You need to control steering AND speed to actually be driving. . .

That said, many will disagree. And unless you "cruise" on one radio station for a long time , the MFSW is a must-have in my book. I use it constantly- very easy to change volume or stations without taking your eyes off the road.

No offense, but try driving by yourself about 30 hours straight some time. You'll appreciate cruise then!

Ok so along the same kind of line, the CPO I got doesn't have the multifunction steering wheel. can it be upgraded? Are the wires in the car aleady or will I waste a lot of money attempting to get it. I really don't utilize cruise that often since I am doing mostly city driving. I would want it for the radio buttons! but I really don't have to reach THAT far to the radio ***... Just wondering.
