R50/53 Back in the saddle again.
Back in the saddle again.
After 2+ months, I have my car back. The first body shop had the car for just about a month, so I did what I should have done in the first place: I moved it to the body shop that MINI of Peabody uses. They had it for just about 6 weeks and did a great job. You can see the photos of when it was hit here. The estimate was somewhere around $13K - $14K, they said. I'll get the final paperwork in a week or so once they submit the last supplement.
Considering I hurt my little car, I thought it deserved a treat. I went to MINI of Peabody this morning and had the OEM roof rack installed along with 2 bike attachments. I also had Hawk ceramic pads installed, too (hey, those white wheels get REALLY dirty). Also got one of those organizers behind the radio and under the e-brake & a CD thingy for the visor. Anyway, I'm glad I'm not driving a rental car anymore.

Wheels in the photo when it was hit were the winter wheels. I bought the Compomotive wheels late last summer (I think). I love them!

Yeah, the quality of the work is amazing. It actually looks better than when I bought it (I bought it used with only 3000 miles, but it had city wear), so I'm quite happy. It also drivers perfectly. I was a little nervous it wouldn't considering I was hit pretty hard. I liked the fact they didn't rush it.

based on the previous photos it's hard to believe that's the same car. The body shop seemingly did a terrific job!
