Anybody else have this issue?

Am I the only one who, after parking the MINI, has to turn around no fewer than two times to look at my car as I'm going into the office, restaurant, etc?
Everytime, I look back I also think "Damn, that's a good looking ride!!"

Anybody out there also have this problem?

Yes, I too have this "problem". Seems my MCS hates to be away from me as much as I hate to be away from it ... hehehehehe ... He even flashes his lights at me when I walk away. The owner's manual tells me that is just his way of saying the doors are locked, but I know better.

Maybe the question should be: Is there anyone out there who does NOT turn around to glance at their car after parking it ?

Not me... I LOVE MY MINI !!!! I even peek out in the garage every now and then just to get a look at the two of them. And this is after 9 months of ownership.

Yea, I do it every morning when I go into the BUILDING. I always seem to park The Liberator in a gleaming ray of morning sunshine. Is it me or does my MINI have a glow eminating from it? Why are all the other cars sitting in the shadows? Maybe they just want to huddle close together near the BUILDING...

OK, I'll admit, I usually only permit myself one look back.

I have the same problem but it's motivated more by "Did I really lock the doors...?" although I do like looking at my car! I wish I could watch my car as I'm driving it!

For the last 5 years I've been doing double-takes at everyone else's MINIs.

I, too, am thus afflicted, from both the beauty, and the door thing.

I don't do this! My mini has some slight social anxiety problems. She gets a little nervous when I stare at her.

My wife and I do the same thing, plus I'll also sneak a peak at the reflection of my MINI as I drive past a storefront, and I invariably take a quick look at it in the garage each night before I go to bed.

I park mine where I can see it from my window at work; more for security than anything else, though. My office is in a funky part of town.

I'm also guilty as charged. I go even further in my guilt that I actualy look for other Minis parked so I can park next to them. Somehow I think they keep each other's company when they're paired.

All the time, not only do I look back 2 or 3 times, but I'll go out front of work just to look at my MINI. Plus I have a co-worker who will park next to me just to make sure no one dings my MINI with a door. Man I love my MINI & so do others.

You know, this is not something that you'll ever get over... I still catch myself looking back at my '02 MCS in a parking garage, trying to spot it in the airport parking lot as my plane departs or arrives (always happy to be reunited after driving a rental).

Yup. Still do after four years. And run to the window when my wife drives off in it just to watch it go.

It's normal behavior, right?

regards,
