Anyone else had power window issues?

So I washed my car a few weeks ago, back when it was well below freezing, and the next day the window wouldn't roll down. OK, I said... Water obviously got into the seal and froze, and now the window won't open.

Problem is, I tried rolling it down a few days ago, when it was like 70 outside, and it stuck AGAIN. When it finally did roll down, it sounded like it was laboring - rolled down very slowly. Now it won't roll down at all, even the little thing it does when you open/close the door to make a proper seal.

I have to schedule my 10k service anyway, so the dealership will take a look, but I wonder if anyone else has had this issue? I added custom door sill lighting to the inside of the bottom edge of the plastic door trim, which does NOT touch the window seal, but just in case they tell me that I did something to it, I'd like to know if anyone else had an issue, you know? I'm 99% certain that what *I* modified would not affect the window (the driver's side, which has the exact same MOD is totally fine), but you never know...

Thanks in advance!

I had my passenger side window go out and I know of at least 3 other folks who have had window work done. No big deal but sure annoying huh? At least mine stuck in the closed position. :-) They'll fix it up at your check-up. Do you go to Cincy Mini? They are SUPER!!!

I go to Midwest Auto Group in Dublin. I've been very happy with their service up till now. Thanks SO much for those links - I'll check them out ASAP.

EDIT - Duuur... I even posted in one of those threads. Sorry guys - I could have found this with a 2-second forum search. I totally forgot that this was a known issue. I've been a bit distracted by some things lately and I'm letting my "netiquette" slip I guess.

Thanks again for the help!

UPDATE: Had Nano into MAG (Midwestern Auto Group) today for my 10K mile checkup and they swapped out the motor, just like you said. THANK YOU all for the assistance. I'm pretty sure that MAG would have made it right (they're a good dealership IMHO so far) but since I opened up the door to do my puddle light MOD, it was nice to go in knowing that this was an issue on many other cars just in case they rried blaming it on ME.

I'm so happy!! It's top-down weather (had the cabrio tooling around topless all afternoon) and having a window up would have looked ridiculous.
