Anybody have this on their Cooper or Cooper S? Is it worth the $300? I live in Georgia, so it can get pretty cold here in the winter. I'm pretty indifferent to the heated seats, but the washer jets and heated side views seem to be pretty practical.

Cheers!
Ross

Sean-

How do the VW heated seats compare with the MINI's heated seats? I have been very happy with the heated seats in my Jetta VR6.

I love the cold weather package. I have it on my Jetta VR6 and ordered it for my S. I'm a sucker for heated seats. Fantastic on the cold winter morning ride to work. The heated washer jets are great. Helps you wipe away the frost from your windshield. The heated side mirrors are probably the most useful. Instead of scraping the ice off your mirrors, just hop in the car, heat up the mirrors and watch it melt away. It is also a great defogger when the side mirrors get a lot of morning dew on them.

Thanks for the reply Rokk. It sounds like I'll have to definetely consider the package. I'll probably have to wait a while for my S, seeing that the waiting list here in Atlanta is pretty steep, so I want to make the wait worth it...which I think means all 3 packages!! My Cooper will be a happy Cooper!

Cheers,
Ross

Cold weather package is definitely the way to go. Have the heated seats, heated mirrors and heated washer nozzles on my VW Passat and they are great. Especially the heated seats.

I'm getting them too! And I live in Dallas, Texas!
But I hate ice stuck on my mirrors and I go to Omaha Nebraska (little Siberia) all the time so I need it!

I live in Virginia and was advised by several friends that if I go for leather, the heated seats are a must have. They all said once I use them, I'll never get a car without them. So I am getting the leather seats with the cold weather package. The other features, like the heated washer jets and mirrors seem useful, too.

Jay-

I'm in Virginia, too. You will get plenty of use out of those heated seats. Good choice. You'll never get a car without them from now on.

And I thought Virginia was warm! I'll *really* be glad I have heated seats here in New England... Nice heat therapy, too.

Well, it is warm in Virginia compared to New England. In my area we get snow maybe 2-3 times during the winter. But, whenever the temp is under 60 degrees, I need my heated seats.

I am orginialy from Texas and have been in VA for the last 11 or so years. Four of those years have been in the mountains at BBurg and I just think it is funny when people complain about how cold it gets here or how everyone freaks out when a couple of inches of snow hit the ground.

Two or three inches of snow in the central VA area and the supermarkets will have lines out the doors with people stocking up for the "blizzard"

Ya... if you're not freezing your **** off, it's not winter...

(And i'm from WNY... "We Know Winter"... of course, we also know 89 degrees with 89 percent humidity, but that's a different season alltogether...)

THat's funny!
I'm in NJ but my A/C is on if it's pushing 60 degrees!!! Maybe now with such a large sunroof I can lay off the A/C a few months of the year. Got the heated seats - although I don't expect to use them much except when I leave the house while it's still pitch black in the morning during the winter. I mainly got them for my wife!

Heated seats: OOH. So warm and toasty when it's 30 degrees outside

Go for it. You know I did

LizzyBobio,
Do you live an a warmer part of the country? I would just DIE if my Ol' Reliable (Toyota Corolla) decided not to heat me up.

I think I'll enjoy the heated seats because I DO NOT like driving with my coat on.

A heated gear shift **** would be neat though.

I can't help but think of the electric chair every time people mention "heated seats!" Macabre sense of humor!
