He keeps beeping - Is my MINI unhappy?

OK. Another random thing occuring in my MINI. :impatient
So far it's been going on for about 3 or 4 days, once a day,
as far as I've noticed....a random 'beep'.
It sounds like the beeping when your seatbelt isn't on, except
its just ONE beep. And either I have no passenger, or they are
wearing their seatbelt. So I have no idea what my MINI is
trying to tell me. No lights or signs flash..and it's one loney 'BEEP!'

Anyone know what the heck this is? I'm pretty sure the dealership
would just laugh at me and say that I'm just hearing things....

When you turn the car on, the first time it detects that it is 37 degrees or colder it will sound an icing warning (1 beep) and the OBC temp readout will flash for a few seconds showing the outside temp. Hope that helps.

Cut her some slack - 37 degrees isn't something we see here often.
Yes, it's the 'ice warning' - I've been hearing it often lately, even in Santa Cruz!

Or you could ship your MINI to Hawaii, Matson's current rate is $975.00 one way.

Having spent a couple of winters in Montana, seeing a low of -36, this isn't to bad.

Yes! My Cooper does the same thing. I swear they hate cold weather. According to me, that would be the "Take me out of the snow and lock me in the warm garage you cretin" beep.

Moe has been dinging too, definitely prefers warmer weather. He also dings (I think he's asking me not to leave) when I get out of the car... and then the other day he SCREECHED at me... I think it might have been interference from the aux input.. freaked me out but he's been quiet ever since (maybe he didn't like my choice of music)
