Don't you just love it when your driving your car and you just get a smile on your face! I was doing the rather mundane task of going to the bank. As I entered the on ramp, a decreasing radius turn that empties onto a highway, I gently feather the throttle (in second gear) until it reached the stop. The combination of the increasing g's, both lateraly and longitudnaly, combined with that awesome supercharger whine and perfectly linear acceleration just put a huge old grin on my face! Not many cars can do that, which promted me to actually say aloud (in an otherwise empty car) "I love my car"

 

I can agree to that... It's quite intoxicating ain't it?

I get that feeling nearly every time i drive my Mini. Once i get new wheels & tires I think it will be every time. I love this car!

 

18 months and ~38,000 miles and keep saying it every day.
LAst night I went out to the parking lot and one of my co-workers had parked his CR/W MCS next to mine. Best looking cars at IBM. :-)

My wife finally got it. It took her 6 months to stop asking me "Why are you taking the MINI out of the garage to <insert nearby mundane task> when you could just just the old Passat in the driveway?"

 

Now the SUV crowd would say (use your redneck voice) "If you were drivin' a big honkin' Hummer, dat shoulder guy woulda sure seen ya."
