There are some POSSIBLE changes on the 04 model:
1. Key changes,
this has been a hugh discussion, Possibilities, Audi/VW key type.

2. PDA enable:
MINI International has showed that this would be available in US at the end of 2003.

3. 3 spoke steering wheel. as show on the other thread.

4. Leaking fixs:
i think everybody knows what i mean. this is the top issues to be fix.

5: Windshield fix:

6. more color available,
so far Orange Metalic is confirmed. EB for MC and Pepper White.

7. MP3/aux enable

8. Multi steering wheel phone activation enable.

9. Bumper changes
Possible available MC bumper on MCS, eg, inserts.

10. New Interior color added.
Carbon Fiber trends type posiible.

These possible changes are only based on my personal online research/friends in EU/MINI Dealership and My kindly hope on my upcoming 04 MCS.

Good they are changing the key for a VW type one. I honestly find the tutsi pop one too big and uncomfortable in my pockets.

I asked my motoring advisor this week about the color changes when I was getting the strut bolt recall taken care of.

She said she had heard about a metallic "Tangerine" color, but had not seen anything. From her wording it doesn't sound anything like the VW orange, which is almost a burnt orange/red color. I'm visualizing something metallic and with the color vibrancy of the electric blue. If they release a color like this, I'm so there!! Tangerine orange with a white top!! Will get rid of our Durango for this, and have 2 MCS in our garage then.

Naturally, this is all speculation, but I'll play along...

Whew! Am I glad I got my MY03! I'm really not a fan of this proposed 3-spoke wheel.

Orange like BRG shouln NOT be metalic.... they are screwing up colors just to get the extra 400 bucks.... dernit... hell if BRG was actual BRG and not metalic I would have picked that color and still payed extra for it... that said my 03 is non metalic black...white roof... it is very striking in person!!

In the newest "Moss MINI" catalog they now have touch-up paint...

and one of the colors they list is "Aspen White" for the MCS.
My guess is that they know something we don't about a new color!

Metalic orange. That always seems to be a trendy color that's in and out of vogue. I like the metalic orange on the Mazdaspeed. I wonder if it will be like that.

Orange would be an intriguing choice. I'd prefer a Velvet Red MCS option, though. And the photos of the 3-spoke wheel suggest a Cordoba-beige leather MCS bucket-seat interior as another new possibility (which would be the icing on a VR MCS cake!)

The three spoke steering wheel: http://www.bridger.us/mini/?Y=2003&M...eSteeringWheel

There's also an MCO thread I posted about it from a couple weeks back - can't seem to find it now though.

Let's stop on the color, I will not like it/buy it or try it.
I think most people are kind of under estimate the MINI engineers. I don't think they are dum enough to make a key has the same bulk size like VW, i don't think they will make a Beetles replay on the color.

I'm always think that MINI has a very unique design, they will not make MINI look like any of their competitors.

I'm more intrested in the in car technology changes. VW dose not has a good NAV but MINI has. VW dose not has a AUX and MP3 enabled player(I guess), but MINI will have ( I guess).
More other things, I'm sure the 04 will be much more confident than others's, and i wish the price will be the same

Hey, ccm5, check these VR/VR MC's with cordoba leather. There's one that will give you a basic idea of what might a VR MCS look like, less the "mail slot" on the bonnet, of course!

Thanks, Big Kahuna Burger! That is one good looking MINI! If they should offer that on an S, it would be a very easy decision for me. Just dreaming, I guess.
