Help me Pick a Color!

After I purchase an Aero Kit im painting my car. I was just wondering what you think would be a good color? Its not that I dont like the British Racing Green its just that its taken a beating over the years. Any Ideas? I was thinkin Imola Red

imola red is very pretty, but i think BRG just looks right on a MINI, if it were me id repaint it in BRG, but imola red would look pretty good, and if you are looking for a change from BRG then you atleast have one fellow NAMers blessing on imola

your keeping the white roof though right?

Go with the real British Racing Green instead of MINIs Bavarian Racing Green.

Imola red? I only know it's a BMW color. Does it turn Chili Red when it's put on a MINI?

IMHO there really is no other color better than red. And with an Aero kit?

JB all the way Stripper pink looks good on a MINI but I don't think that'd fit your "look"

I will go with the same color. Orange in a MINI looks very nice. But HYPER BLUE is the BEST!!

No offense to the Peerage, but how about "super stormtrooper 'damn can it get any whiter' blinding white"? I know it's been done, but I love the look! (Maybe 'cuz I don't have to keep it clean?)

I'm not sure how dark "Imola Red" is, but a dark red looks really good against an off-white/antique white like Pepper White. When I was autocrossing my wife's PW cabrio, I used dark red (almost maroon) magnetic numbers/letters on the doors, and it looked really sharp.

Yeah there is a pretty sick Pearl White MCS around I think its a project car, something related to M7 lots of chatter after the Dragon about it.

If I were in your shoes and had to change colors...I'd definitely go Chili Red. But...if I didn't have to change colors, I'd stick with BRG. It's a great color...and not having to paint the door jambs, and under the bonnet and boot hatch can save big $$$. Those areas (once cleaned) are likely factory fresh. Remember...the factory paint quality can hardly be beat!

x3! Although Chili Red is my first choice, I would have gone for a true British Racing Green.

A nice paint job will cost upward of $5k. I'm just warning you it's not going to be cheap.

Here are a couple of aftermarket jobs...

The Future Queen:

M7's car (I believe it's Peters?); probably my favorite MINI I have ever seen in person. I wish I had a better camera that could capture the color more accurately. So sleek:

yeah, i didnt feel like reading all the posts, so i will go on with my litte rant.

When you change a color, the correct way to do it will be to remove the interior, all except dash and repaint the entire passenger compartment and also remove all the glass in the car.

I also would remove most everything that unbolts in the engine bay, remove the hood, doors and hatch, and they will need to be stripped down to the panels and repainted.

I would say for a GOOD repaint, that will look just about what it would have from the factory, be prepared to spend aroud $8-10k out the door.

Repainting a different shade of green thats close to BRG woudnt requre painting the jams or anything, but will still be a $4-5k paintjob.

If you wanted for us to paint it at AAMC, it would cost you $3500 to get it in the door, and it will be simmilar in most other places too.

Well, considering you have BRG to begin with, why not re-paint in a true BRG?
If you are going to repaint anything other than the factory color, I wouldn't bother choosing another color offered by MINI, even PW! Go for something original!
As much as I love El Kabong in PW, I'm pretty sure if I were to repaint I'd go with something different and very vivid.

Depending on your style, the Lambo orangish yellow would make for a very, very striking MINI.

Or, a nice non-metallic Blue-Gray color would be just as striking but in a more subdued way.
