So fewer options than the 2006's. Geez I'm glad I didn't wait for an 07.

Well, I just configured a low 40s MINI and it didnt' even have JCW.

I think MINI may be in trouble here if you got to pay mid - high 40s.

I'm glad I got the 06 as well. I think it looks better and I paid less for the same options.

I love the look of the 05-06s but really like some of the new options. Oh man.. "I don't want an 07" "I don't want an 07" "I don't want an 07"

+1 2k more to come close to the MINI that I'm driving now, and thats before all the out the door costs. I'll be nice to the nebies but my R53 isn't going anywhere.

Wow I could not get anything to work on the website. I tried for a little over 3 minutes. All I could get was the navigation, and the error msg.
I am also glad that I will be getting my '06 in a few more day.
I can not wait. Still wanted to see what an '07 would be price wise.
Happy Motoring.

It did seems like they sure did chop a lot of items out of the packages yet they didn't lower the package price (actually they raised the prices). I mean on the S the sport package dooesn't get you the sport suspension & the exterior chrome package no longer chromes the tailpipes

My 2005 Cabrio was $1000 less than an equally equipped '07 hard top The new Mini is definitely a whole lot more expensive in fact a new hardtop is now the same price as a new cabrio (in fact I am sooo tempted to try to squeak out a new cabrio in 07/08 before they change them & jack the prices up. I mean hell when they change the Cabrios over they will probably run $40K)

I just "played" with configurator right now (7:30pm PST), it's working fine. I didn't find all the options I wanted, but what I could find, I was able to stay under 29,000. Interesting, I would be well over 31k if I configured the '07 to the same specs as my '06, that would be 3k more than what I paid for my '06.

I think if I waited to get an '07, I would have paid way more for what I got on my '06.

It's still a great looking MINI for an '07.

It's interesting, I tried to configure a new MCS with the same config as what I have now, and it came out almost $3K MORE than what I paid... some of that is the way the packages are now set up, but most of it is the cost difference!

I admit, I love the new engine, and I think it will be faster than the current car by quite a bit... but I'm not wicked motivated to switch out. Maybe when the JCW packages come out..? but at that point I'd be looking at a MINI that is almost $40K! For that kind of money I could get a used M3!

In any event, the website itself isn't as 'overhauled' as I was lead to believe... call it a 'more mature' upgrade if you will.

I think my $ will go into upgrades for the forseeable future!

The '07s look too "Bubbly" to my eyes...not crazy on the looks.

So... who is going to do the "beta" testing for us?
