Tomorrows the big day. I'll be going to Motor City Mini for a test drive and to place and order for an MCS. I've know this was what I wanted to replace my Bertone X1/9 since I first saw that they were re-introducing them in the U.S. I was tempted by the Toyota MR2 Spyder for a while but the Mini is more "ME".
I've spec'd everything out and pretty much know what I want except color combos, both outside and inside. I've actually printed out spec sheets for the following, in order of my current preference. All will have Combo #1 and #3 and all of the Sport Package except 16" instead of 17" wheels. All will have bonnet stripes, HK, and Driving Lights.

1)LY/B - Black door casing - Dark Gray Space Cloth - Anthracite
2)LY/W - Mag door casing - Dark Gray Space Cloth - Anthracite - White Wheels
3)IB/W - Mag door casing - Lapis Blue - Anthracite - White Wheels
4)EB/B - Black door casing - Lapis Blue - Alloy Patina
5)EB/W - Mag door casing - Lapis Blue - Anthracite - White Wheels
6)PS/B - Black door casing - Lapis Blue - Silver
7)CR/W - Mag door casing - Dark Gray Space Cloth - Anthracite - Whit Wheels

As you can see I'm full of indecision, I guess I won't know until I see them. I'm not sure if the yellow will be bright enough for me, the indy blue will be hard to keep clean, the electric blue I really like in some pictures but not others, the silver is distinguished looking but so common and not as Fun looking, Red looks great I just don't know if I'm a "red" person.
The interiors are another story, so many choices. I'm sure I'll change my mind many times in the four months before my final specs are due.

This sure has been fun

you gotta make up your mind about color! Which one do you like... go with it and don't allow yourself to stray! When you see all of the MINI s you are just going to want one of each. So make up your mind now!

I just picked up my LY/W MCS. My advice:

LY/W is awsome; get the sunroof
Space cloth is awsome
Anthracite with that combination - I got Patina, wish I had opted for Antracite.
Get the HK
17" wheels are great - ride is just fine
The auto AC works well

Good luck

Four months? Have you considered buying out of town/state at a dealer that has no waiting list?
Another tip: Buy all of your accessories (floor mats, etc.) from Classic MINI in Ohio.

As for the color, LY/B with black powder coated stock wheels is a pretty hot combo IMO although I have not yet seen one. Send me a pic when you get it.

The four to six month wait works for me. It will give me time to pay off another payment.

I originally wasn't going to be able to order until this fall but I couldn't wait any longer

I assume you're from Michigan. Check out Michigan MINI Motor Club.

I like all of the colors too . I really like the MCS but I wish velvet red was available. Anyway I really like the Space Cloth and the panther black interior. Anything else and you really can't go wrong.

Yayy! another MCM buddy!

I'm not gonna "vote", I think you should just pick something from the heart 6 months from now, when you're kinda off the high. Whatever represents you!

Motor-on (btw, the wait for a MCS at MCM is 6 months now, yikes!),

Well, I did it! I ended up ordering a modified #1. LY/B only no driving lights and Leatherette instead of cloth. They had a LY/B mini cooper on the showroom floor and it met my approval. Though I have to admit most of my other combo choices weren't available to look at. I fell worthy of being on this site now
