Happy Birthday, El Kabong!!!!

I can't believe it, but it's been a year since that fateful day that El Kabong came home with me! For his birthday I had Way Motor Works put a brand new pulley on him, Thanks, Way!!
Anyway, I have absolutely loved every minute so far. While I've always been a "car girl" (although it may sound similar, not at all like a "call girl" ) I can't believe how much I love this car and the community that came along with it!
Driver's School is my new favorite addiction and I now have a piggy bank just for "mod money"!
My 10 year old daughter can recite all the colors that MINIs come in and has already decided that Hyper Blue will be her first! My son has been promised a MINI when college acceptance letters arrive and my husband just may take El Kabong to a Driver's School himself one day!
Who would have thunk a little car could change so much, but there ya go.
So thanks to MINI USA, NAM and Atlanta Minis it's been a wonderful first year and I'm looking forward to many more!
Annette

Yay El Kabong -- Happy Birthday!

Annette, you can certainly count me and Dobbie amongst the madding hordes who are quite pleased you got a MINI!

<<sings...happy birthday El Kaboooooong, happy birthday to youuuuuu>>

<<entire NAM board pleads for the singing to stop>>

Sorry, I'm a lousy singer but the intent was there.

Congrats to both of you, Annette !

Wow, with a B-Day so close to the Fall run I know I wouldn't have been able to resist the urge to have the pulley installed as an early present

Washed Car84 next to El Kabong last year at Fontana. Happy Birthday to the car, and Birthday glee to its spirited family.

Thanks all, I'll give El Kabong your regards!

So toastie, will you be at MOTD07, and will Dobbie be in attendance. I think she would be a fine one to hang out with at the Brew Swap.

Louispup, we'll have to bathe together again next year (so to speak).

Oh, and we just turned over 10,000 on the Fall Foliage run this past Sunday. It doesn't seem like many miles, but considering I only drive 4 miles to work, the rest of the miles have been all for fun!

I am planning on being there (in so far as I don't actually have any actual plans), but alas Dobbie will not be (unless I rent her from my Aunt for the weekend, which is not beyond consideration ). Though I think she'd just annoy everyone, trying to mooch for beer; a favorite passtime of hers at home

Congrats Annette and El Kabong! I was watching a tv show recently (probably one of the Fox Sunday shows) and who appeared... El Kabong! I immediately thought of you, Annette!

Happy B'day! You got him a nice present! Too bad we had our Foliage Run before his B'day! Maybe next year we can postpone it a bit, or maybe he can get his present early. (Especially if it's a swaybar or other suspension mod)

Doesn't time fly? Congratulations. You've done a world of good for the Pepper White crowd and if you hadn't just gotten a pulley, I would have suggested you slap a JCW kit on El Kabong and fan the flames in the JCW mob. I know, I know; its an expensive "Hey, why don't you..." Just a way of saying you done good for the PW's.

Congrats, Annette!

We were in the "wrong-way" (AKA Extra Scenic) group during the foliage drive, so we didn't get a chance to meet up with you at the park. We ended up walking around the canyon a bit, then zipped over to Sticky Fingers in Chattanooga for a late lunch, and a take home dinner

After speaking with you at Cracker Barrel, we've decided to push for a new reality show, "Little Cars, Big People, Bigger Smiles"

I've seen some pics from that group, and even I am not sure where y'all went...

I hope it was fun for you anyway.
