MINIs on a ferry - attempt at world record

http://content.hamptonroads.com/stor...4288&ran=95841

There was no prior record, so it looks like they've got it now. I considered but I had to drive back to school. Looks like it was a great time, even if it was rainy!

The Hampton Roads club is at www.hrmini.com. The Richmond club is at www.rivercityminis.org

Yep, Youtube link worked for me, too! Awesome! But.....who let the big SUVs on? You could have fit two MINIs in place of the big SUVs who were obviously loaded first!

And that red classic Mini is hot, hot, hot!!! What a gorgeous car.

Look at all that wasted space on the ferry... they could have fit 20 more MINIs on there !

Seriously... very cool. And I mean seeing that many MINIs and the cause they were undertaking.

It was awesome

It was an awesome event despite the poor weather conditions. I have to say if it weren’t for Simon and Randy this event would not of happened. So big thanks to both of those guys. HRMINI also got a little love from our local paper here in Hampton Roads http://content.hamptonroads.com/story.cfm?story=114288&ran=95841
In regards to how many MINI’s we could of fit on the ferry, my guess is another 50 if we were all four wide.

Great pictures! Well if there ever was a record it has been broken now. A few years back PSMINI put 31 MINIs on a much smaller ferry out of Seattle (really Anacortes), but hey we didn't have any room for more. Still I would like to see who could beat 77.

MINIs were loaded first. It was part of the plan.

Trust me, we wanted to! The plan was to fill the ferry to the brim with MINIs, but thanks to the weather, not enough showed up. I think we should try it again .

Well, if you decide to do it again, I may just have to take a drive down there to participate. Certainly a cause worth crashing on my friend's couch for!

Definitely! We had a blast, granted it was a chilly and soggy blast, but a blast nonetheless!

Kind of wished we had gotten there earlier so we could've checked out all the new stuff there at Jamestown for the anniversary.
