Piloti Rallye Opinions
I'm about to spring for a pair of Piloti's. I'm liking the looks of the Rallye. Anyone have these, or have you tried them?

Also considering the Monaco, or possibly the G16.

I'd love some input.
Thanks, DD

I've been looking at the G16's as well. I have some questions also.....
I know these are driving shoes but are they comfortable to wear around once you get to your destination?
Do they wear well (last)?
Do the sizes run "true"?

I've had have a pair of the Prototipo for several months and find them extremely comfortatble - both as an all day driving shoe and for walking around. The sole is pretty thin as you'd expect, but they've held up really well.
I had a pair of the Mulholland's a few years back and they completely fell apart long before they should have. The stiching that held the nylon webbing that the laces threaded through came appart leaving you unable to lace the shoes. I tossed them and switched to Puma's which I've had no issues with.
The monacos are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. MIne are 4 years old now. Recently I had to fix the soles with Shoe-Goo because I love them too much to throw out.
Santa, if you are listening, I'd like another pair just like the ones I have.

I bought a pair from Griot's about 2 years ago, they were some special edition shoe, but are very similar to the Prototipo. I love them. I wore them for all 5 days I drove MTTS with no trouble at all. They are starting to look a little worn now, but are still holding up very well. A little leather cleaner really helps to keep them nice looking.
And a note about narrow feet, I too usually look for a shoe that is a little more narrow thourgh the arch and heel, but still wide enough in the toes that it doesn't feel like they are going to fall off, and these shoes are great for that!

i have the G16's in blue. it's a nice pair of shoes.
the only complaint is that there is no sleeve for the front flap part
of the shoe to loop onto the laces (under the laces) so that flap tends
to slide down when you put them on. other then that, no issues!
once you got them on your feet you'll know why they sell so well. it's
not only comfortable in the car, it is also very comfy to wear around
the garage. AND, i always get compliments when i wear them to work
on occasion on casual Friday's.
im thining about getting another pair of Piloti's this winter... in different
style and color. btw, make sure to spray them down with those leather
protector spray's. mine's made out of partly suede.
