R50/53 I Should be a Motoring Advisor (hint hint...)
i just got back from a local grocery dispersal establishment where i had a long conversation with a lovely gal who said she was thinking about buying an MCS. i think i gave her the final push over the edge
i've also evangelised about my car at red lights, gas stations, parking garages, libraries and car washes. i even once talked to a guy about my MINI while stuck in traffic. we had to yell at each other to hear over the noise of the planes flying over head. it was fun.
sure, some people ask if it's electric or hybrid or solar but i have pity for those poor people that don't know MINI joy.
i gotta say that one of my selling points is the community of MINI freaks, enthusiasts, cheerleaders and maniacs that love their MINI. you guys rock and from people i've talked to at MINI USA they know it too. let's motor.

I've been trying to smooch my way into Motor City MINI for a bit now, seems that being a VMA isn't good enough (hmpf!) Or, perhaps I'm overqualified
not that I need a new job, but I think it would be a blast selling MINI's!
Cheers,
Ryan

Good grief--I've certainly done every one of those things a dozen times since last July. I even printed little flyers when people ask me either "what is it?" or don't know the history of the car:

I put my MA's name on it as thanks for all her kindnesses.

When I picked up my MINI I had a pretty good understanding of all the features and functions. I'd downloaded the manual so I was familiar with the details and I'd already learned so much here at MCO.
During the delivery process my MA was surprised that I knew so much about the car. He kept trying to find something I didn't know but finally laughed and asked if I wanted a job as an MA. (if only I didn't live 300 miles away.. the commute would be a little rough)

I love your flyer! it's brilliant! It's always a bit touchy trying to answer the ubiquitous: "What's a MINI?"
("Um.... that. *pointing* The car you just asked about. That's a MINI"
