OK - I'm looking at a chili red MCC with a black roof (of course I'm still torn between that and the cool blue). Anyways, my question is on the bonnet stripes. I'm torn on getting them at all as I love the car just plain. I think the white stripes would look nice though. My dealer says I should go with black stripes since my top is black. I'm not sure I like the black stripes on the convertible with the red. I'm having a hard time finding pics of the red with white stripes (or even the dealer installed black ones for that matter).

Any opinions on color or even if at all? How about some pics (esp. the white stripes) if anyone has one.

I went w/ black stripes, since my roof was black and haven't regretted it. There are lots of pictures in the member galleries, have you looked around in there? That said, there is nothing wrong with skipping the stripes for now and then adding them later if you change your mind, or when you finally figure out what the perfect stripe would be. Dealer's options, stripe-wise, are rather limited and there are a lot of other ones out there.

 

I went with the white stripes on a CR MCSc and I love it. Then again, I also got white rims and white side view mirrors, so it goes along with my theme pretty well.

 

Can you guess my preference ??

Okay, seriously... like davadv said, take a look around the galleries. A good place to start would be the thread for the CR Owner's Club.

After that, it's purely a matter of personal preference. Soooooooo many options on stripes (black versus white, pinstripe versus no pinstripe, bonnet only versus bonnet and boot, roof or not the roof). And then you can work on the mirror caps ! You can create something CLASSIC or something KEWL !

Thanks guys! I had looked at the galleries, but was having a hard time finding red convertibles since you can only see the first pic before drilling in. Was taking me forever! I NEVER thought about drilling in from the Chili Red Owners club - duh!! Sometimes I wonder if I have really burned all my good brain cells!!

Her is mine. I also have boot stripes. I like the black stripes it compliments the roof.

 

Sweet! Love that chili red! Was my first pick, but i didn't want to wait. Black bonnet stripes with the black roof is my vote!! Looks incredible.

It's been said. has black or chromed or checkered mirrors? black stripes. Otherwise go for plain white or custom made.
