Slow to start lately

My 2004 MCS hasn't started on the first try in the morning for the past couple days. Do I need a new battery?

Has this happened since you filled up with gas? Did you go to a different station than normal? It's most likely the ethanol mixture causing the cold start issue. Do a search for "cold start" or something and you'll get LOTS of hits.

I've had the same problem--same gas--Shell VPower, but this just started happening 2 days ago. Is it because it's getting cooler out? Only in the high 40s/low 50s in the morning, though--I shudder to think what's in store for me in the winter!

Grr...

I had the same problem last year in March. Then it stop and just happen again on the first cold morning here in Florida yesterday. It seems to be a common cold start problem. Here is a link to the subject LINK
