Vandalism :(

Apparently, after a local college football game (the American type), some ******* decided to throw a beer bottle at my MINI :(
If the broken window wasn't enough, they also had to ding my body panel above the gas cap.
God what I wouldn't give for a garage.
What's worse, I've got an appointment with my dealer tomorrow for a transmission problem. So I'll probably have to wait for that to get fixed before being able to take it to a body shop for an estimate.

Not a certainty in this case, of course, but I can't count the number of stupid things like this I've seen in which excess alcohol consumption was a big part of the equation. If you erased that.....and/or stupidity.....and/or showing-off....you'd not have much of this kind of vandalism.

How ironic that in all probability it was a bunch of "college types". Obviously they left their brains in their underpants and do not have an ounce of common sense or decency for someone else's property.

**** artists every one of 'em.

If I were a vindictive person I would confiscate their crayons and hide the remote...............they'd be screwed.

Good luck with the repair, I hope it all works out.

That's sad to see. It's funny how people can't really respect others. I guess the person(s) who threw that didn't own a MINI.

The worst thing I've had was beer spilled on my car. I assumed it was just a drunk person who tripped, but not intentional.

It has nothing to do with owning a MINI. It has every thing to do with the fact that we teach our youth that they are entitled to do as they please without consequence. This person lacks respect for other's properity. It's a shame.

Sorry some idiots came across your nice car. I'm glad that the damage while bad isn't worse. From the looks of the dent it looks like a paintless dent repair person could get that out. Good luck.

Oh that's so sad!

Some people just have no respect. Didn't their mommas raise them to have any manners, or sense?

if you weren't so far away, i'd go give you and your MINI a hug... Let us know how the repairs go.

As well, when I got my MINI (aka my dream car) 3 months ago, I also decided to transfer universities. Why, you ask? Well to park her in the garage. Yeah, so living at home means I can't go out as often, but that just means more money to spend on mods hahah.

I was getting our MINI detailed and we were having a discussion on just this topic.

This lady, who has bought a brand new Saturn Sky convertible just yesterday, had a big SUV/truck (??) back into her front bumper while she had parked her car in a mall's parking lot. Her bumper had the very distinct impressions of the towing link!!!!

People do not have any appreciation of other people's property!!!! Makes me feel .

I feel your pain. Like someone mentioned above, the dent looks like it can be repaired without too much apparent damage. Hope you can get your MINI back to it's original condition.

I do believe it was a beer bottle, if you look closely at picture 3, you can see a Bud Light bottle cap.

I certainly hope I can get paintless dent repair on the dent, though there is a small scuff on the paint. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Thanks again.

Totally assinine random act of stupidity. Sorry to see it happen. :(

In my old hometown, Columbus OH, it seems like every year fans get more ridiculous in their behavior. Regardless of winning or losing, the acts of violence get worse each season.

I'm embarassed to be a Buckeye fan...
