R50/53 Quick help!!! '04 or '05???
Quick help!!! '04 or '05???
Sweet! So I think I found the perfect car... '05 MCS, premium, sport and cold weather package, dark silver with the two tone leather, 18K miles for $19,500... The car is in California, and I won't be able to see it until I get down there on Monday... Now, the dealer sent me a whole bunch of pics, and when it came to the interior, I noticed that the steering wheel only had 2 spocks instead of the three that I thought came on all '05+ Minis? Could this one be an '04?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

If you can see a piccie of the rear, check the tail lights, per the post above. The '05 back-up light is in the tail light. Good luck!
Why don't you ask for a picture of the vehicle plate on the door jam, it has the build date clearly marked and that will tell you which model year you have. The VIN# should reveal the model year as well. Do a car fax search.

So does that mean that it's an 04 for sure?

I'll get the vin today and run a carfax...

Well, so here's the dealio. The car is a 2004. The dealer said they'll come down an other $1000...
I want to do it, but since I live in Portland OR, the dealer says that they have to put it on a truck and ship it to the Oregon border ($425/1 week) in order not to pay the CA sales tax... Ahhhh!!! I want it naaaaaow!!!!!
