what is this tool?

Today while installing my new Wet Okole seat covers (very nice, btw) I found two tools under my back seat. One is the wrench for putting the convertable top up if the motor fails, but I don't know what the other one is. It's about 18 inches long, silver and made of thin metal one end of is a little hook and the other is squared off, if I remember correctly. I should have taken a picture but my camera was not handy and I wanted to get the seat back together! Anyone have any idea what it is? I looked in the owners manual without any luck. Thanks!

Never mind, I found it in the manual. This is the tool you would use to manually release the trunk in the cabrio in the event of an electrical failure. They've thought of everything, those MINI designers.

Hmm, I will have to check, but I don't recall anything under my back seat. Could you post pics anyway?

How about some pics of those new seat covers. I have been thinking about them and ordered my samples (that have not come in yet) and would like to see the different color combo's actually installed!
