MINIs Multiplying where you work?

When I first got my MINI, last year, there was only one MCS (DS/B) in my company parking lot. As of today, there are:

1) MCC CoB/Bl (Mine)
2) MCS DS/B
3) MCC PW/B
4) MCC PH/Bl
5) MCC AB/B
6) MCS PW/B
7) MCSC CoB/Bl

I know one of them was sold due to my intervention (a buddy who traded in his RAM Quad Cab for the MCS PW/B).

Anyone notice the same phenomenon in your parking lot?

I do see more MINIs around downtown and around home, and we have one new owner at the office. But.....at my park-and-ride mine is still the only MINI.

I wish I could say there were more where I work - but sadly (or happily ) I am still the only one with a MINI....

That's where I see the most MINI's... in my work parking garage! There are at least 7 I have seen recurringly: Kind of a split between MCS and MC, but probably more MCS just by a smidgen. I have seen:

MCC Chili Red
MC Purple Haze/white
MC British Racing Green/white
THREE (!!!) MCS Dark Silver/black
MCS Chili Red/white

I still have yet to see my exact twin... I have seen a MCS Chili Red/black (but of course has different bonnet stripes)

No MINIs where I work or live, however plenty out on the streets!
Here's a funny though.. my best friend lives at the end of a short cul de sac... there are maybe 8 or 10 houses on the block. Within one week's time two PW/B MINIs came to live directly across from one an other... one an S the other a Cooper. We think its contagious for sure and when me and my HBMCS come to play there will be a challenge set down to the neighborhood!

not at work but around my town! When I first ordered one and when I lusted for it in my dreams, it was rare to see just one zoom by. Now I see quite a few on the road and in the parking lots!

Yeah, I've noticed this too! Suddenly there are about 4x the usually number - I routinely saw a dark silver and a BRG, and now there are about either others! Chili red, blue, a few silvers, mine (astro black! yea!) and a couple others. It's a MINI party! Quite often there's a parking spot available right next to another MINI and I can't resist parking next to them :D

I love doing that as well. I'm sure that the fellow mini owner appreciates another mini parkign next to him/her as well since mini owners respect other minis and are not likely to fling the door open.

Before we met, my girlfriends brother always talked about how much he wanted a MINI, and she always said "you're gay if you get one" then she met me and her opinion totally changed, now she wants one!

Owning a MINI hasn't hurt me in that area, in fact, the ladies have definitely taken notice of my car more...its usually, "I've always wanted one of those" and then you offer to give them a ride in it. Works quite well. I think guys owning MINIs just shows that they don't need a massive pick-up truck or exotic sportscar to be secure with their masculinity.

Back on topic, I work in downtown DC so I don't drive, but there are a lot of MINIs around Arlington/Alexandria. But you can tell that some of them aren't MINI enthusiasts, its just a trendy car for them...

die hard motorists flash highbeams. I always find that uplifting.

I'm the only MINI at work, but I've only been here for a month or so.

My first day on the job there was quite the uproar about the car. One woman has wanted one for forever and says it'll be her next car. Another girl asked me if it "has a V8".. um.. nooo.. "but its fast, right?".. yeah, its pretty quick A few other girls have asked me about my payments b/c they want one, but aren't sure if they can afford it.

Perhaps my MCS will have some parking lot friends before long

I jsut started working @ Warner Brothers Studios here in Burbank, on another aspect of my project. And low and behold when I walked out to Floyd last night, thre was a BRG/B MCS parked right next to me. It is so cool how MINI owners usually park as near to eachother as possible. My theory is that our MINIs use some form of low-level mind control to MAKE us as the drivers park near other MC or MCSs.

Thanks! I think Gary did a fantastic job, and Drew is a great photographer.

xbook. i think its because we know if we park next to another mini that at least that side of the car will not be dinged as we care about each other's mini too!

Lets see. 12 people on the MINI DL at work. Sounds about right. I usually see at least four on my section of the parking level.

1,400 employees, no other Mini's.

Always looking to park next to another Mini but, after 6 months of ownership, haven't seen another one in any parking lot (much less with a open space next to it.)

Not necessarily work but I drove my MCS into my school parking lot a day or two ago, and there is already a 03' MCS that likes to park next to me
