It repeats tomorrow, which will give me enough time to hook up my new VCR, I never used it since I buy everything on DVD now, I'm replacing my entire movie collection if I can find the same movies on DVD.

Too bad, I feel the car has come a long way in the past 8 months and that should be reflected on a consumer oriented show like this!

Is it me, or has C&D quality gone down hill. It used to be my favorite Auto mag, now I rarely buy an issue. Autoweek has become my main staple for all things 'auto' and the Brit publications, CAR and EVO, are my favorite, never miss an issue read.
I agree Bustov. Many of the American car mag's have seemed to up the level of fluff, whereas the Euro mags continue to put out great issues packed with interesting articles.

Yep, IMHO C&D and R&T aren't very useful at all.
Unfortunately, often it makes be drool over all the really neat cars availabel in Europe we can only dream about here in the US :???:

Did anybody LIKE this article on C&D TV?
To me, they missed the point. ...which is okay by me, really. If they don't get it, I don't WANT them to get it... does that make sense?
They claim at the end of the show that the car is the reason they review cars, but they picked out some things that are inconsistent with the car they drove. Keep in mind, it was an MCS with the 17in S-Lites. They complained about the ride!
The people who order the 17in option don't care about what it will do to the ride. In fact, I like the stiffer ride and don't mind the bumps AT ALL. Makes me feel connected to the road.
...and seriously, has anybody had 'trouble controlling this car at speed' as it 'darts all over the place'? C-mon...
Oh, man, I am getting defensive. Pick on my car will ya? Well poo on you.
happy motorin!

MG-BGT "..CAR is by far the best! Unfortunately, often it makes be drool over all the really neat cars availabel in Europe we can only dream about here in the US"
Couldn't agree more, I think the US market is a third world country when it comes to cars. I would love to have the choice of a Clio Sport, 205 GTI 180, Ibiza Cupra R, Focus RS... the list goes on and on. Thankfully BMW has brought the Mini to our shores.
Can't wait, 4/4/03 production date for my MCS

The only C&D staffer that seemed to get it was Brock Yates, looked like he was really enjoying it. BTW he probably is the last of the good editors on C&D besides Patrick Bedard.

Yates definitely got it. In fact, he bought a MCS!
Check out his comments in the first paragraph of his column in the April issue of C&D...

That makes three automotive jornalists that I know of that have bought a MCS!
Brock Yates, Car and Driver
Dutch Mandel, Autoweek
John Davis, Motorweek
not bad company!
