one month wait for service!!!

i was spoiled in utah, if i wanted service i would call up and get an appointment for that week.
I am in portland now and wanted to get a service appointment, for my free one year oil change and some rattles and creeks. anyways they are now taking appointment for augost 31! one freakin month away. Mini's here aren't the rare oddity they are in other cities, i see more mini then honda civics, well almost.

Where are you waiting two months to get service in NYC? Between all the dealers in NY and NJ you shouldn't have to wait more than 2 weeks in my experience.

I live in NYC and went to NJ to purchase and perform my service... 3 week wait for a loaner car... same week service if no loaner needed.

Hence the wait time, lots of MINIs not a lot of dealerships in the area=longer wait time.
Trust me, the wait will be worth it, Rassmusson MINI is top notch in customer service
Cheers

Then there is your reason, a lot of cars = a lot of cars to service. If MINIs were rare, there would be no wait, now would there?

However, that does suck.

I called Braman in West Palm a few weeks ago to have my air bag light and some paint work done. I called on a Thursday expecting a few week wait. I was amazed when the woman asked if I could be in on Monday.

I had a 3 week wait to get in to get my exhaust replaced. I also had to wait 2 months to get a brake sensor installed.

I feel your pain brother. One dealership in the STATE.

This thread makes me realize how lucky we are in Dallas-Fort Worth to have a dealer (Moritz MINI) with a great service department. I've never had to wait over 2 days for an appointment and on multiple occasions have brought the car in on the same day. The other dealer in the area has the sort of long wait times people are talking about in this thread.

Wow, long wait for serving. How long do you think you'd have to wait if something bad {mechanically-wise} happened? I shudder to think...

I called my dealer last week and they told me it would be mid-september to get my car in. I think since its vacation season everyone has their car in for service so those of working have to wait.

Our local wait in Philadelphia is less than a week for dealer service. It helps that there are several dealerships within a two hour drive.
