Just a little sharing of information for potential future MINI owners...
Bought a pre owned (a MINI is never USED) 2002 MCS in 4 /2005..
Just past the dreaded 50,000 mile mark and this month is my MINI's Bday (happy b-day Cal)...
Anyways...
These are some of the things that were graciously repaired and replaced by my factory warranty..(fully transferable)
Rotted fresh air vents, peeling steering wheel, passenger and drivers side power window motors, plastic radiator tank, airbag wiring harness, replaced rubber door seals and repaired rust in sills....
BMW/MINI has been fantastic, so has my dealer...I have never paid 1 red cent for any of the above listed work...yes the car has been in the dealer more times than any other car I have ever owned, but the joy I get (still) from driving it, eclipsed any inconvenience whatsoever...
The car has been an absolute blast and I intend on keeping it....(it will be my "classic")

my car's B-day is Oct 6th.. It will be 4YO and out of warranty.. But I only have 16K miles on it now.....

It is going in for service a week from Monday.. The Supercharges squeaks bad when the car is cold and it has been repaired 3 times already..New Pulley, belt and tensioner each time and it goes away for a month or so........
Hoping this is the last time..

my uncle bought an extended warranty for his 03 MCS, it is a bit pricey but worth every bit cause when his dual pane panaramic sunroof stopped working they replaced the whole thing

My MC's warranty is saying bye-bye in Oct. "Sigh". But I ran my baby in and replaced the few things that had screwed up...like the rotted vent filter, etc. Minor, but at least I didn't have to pay.

He told them that it was making a kind of clunk when it opened and they looked and just replaced it, it was in Chicago
