Sunroof Painted?

I've seen 2 MCS models driving around town that seem to have the sunroof painted black. They were both "S" models with black tops and sunroofs but instead of glass the sunroofs were colored.

Is this an option you can request or is it aftermarket?

these may be labels, similar to the flags some ppl put on their roof. Its removable.

The sunroof glass is very dark and may appear painted. It also may be that they have had the sunroof tinted to 5% to help keep the heat buildup down in the interior.

These were def. Painted on. I'm wondering if they were sunroofs installed after market?

I've got 5% limo tint on my sunroof right now. From the outside, with the screen closed, it appears to solid... especially when it is dark or dimly lit.

I'd assume that you could find an aftermarket sunroof for the MINI, but I've never seen an aftermarket roof that is as large as the MINI's sunroof.

Are you happy with the Limo tint? I'm not real thrilled about the glass sunroof and am trying to find a way to reduce the glare to nil.

If not tint, probably perforated sunroof decal. I desperately want one...

I am LOVING the limo tint! I found that the light from above was way too distracting and that the mesh screen just wasn't cutting it. Now I can have almost dark from above w/ the screen closed and just a bit of light w/ the screen open. If I want more, well, that's what the 'open/close' switch is for!

I wish the MINI would have come w/ a full cloth cover for 100% blackout, but you make due w/ what you have!
