I am considering this combo but it seems it is pretty rare. I have only seen one on NAM when searching. If any of you have this combo could you PLEASE post pictures !!! Thanks

 

Silver roofs are awesome! Will be great with Chili Red and chrome packages!

There is one CR/S posted in this thread on page 3 as well as some nice shots of a Solar Red/Silver

 

Yeah that's the one CR/S I had seen. I'm hoping to see a side shot from someone. That SR does look awesome. It's a shame it's not avilable on the MCS.

 

If you do get the silver roof, I highly suggest NOT getting a sunroof. The clean silver roof looks fantastic without that big black hole ruining the looks. . .

Here's our Purple Haze as an example. . not red but you can see how nice the silver roof is.

I have seen a red/ silver combination here in the Houston area. I believe it is the CR. To tell you the truth, I don't think it is the best color combination. I think the silver looks better with the darker colors. That is my opinion though.

 

You may be right about that jbird. I am also considering dark silver w/silver roof which also appears to be kind of rare.

 

CR is a non-metallic color. IMHO a metallic roof with a non-metallic body isn't too desirable

 

TT, you are probably right on that. I guess I was so impressed by the Solar Red / Silver combo that I figured it would apply to CR as well.

 

Yeah it looks good on solar red. It would look good on most any color since Mini has all but eliminated non-metallic so they can collect the extra moolah for paint upcharge on every car they sell

 

I think silver looks great on contrasting colors like BRG or any dark blue/black colors. I Saw it on a BRG in person and had to turn my head twice to acknowledge what it was.

 

I'm looking at the Mini configurator and the colors just don't do justice. Does anybody have pics of a Chili Red MCS with silver roof and silver u stripes? Would love to see some.

Also cannot seem to get into the thread of the Chili Red Owners Club - can anybody help?

heres two one from behind for some reason, i dont really remember whos car it is though
