Sweet loaner!!!!

took my beloved 2003 Cooper in to Ralph Schomp in Denver this morning for a new fuel level gauge, they are reading a short in the module...and they are also re-painting my rear bumper since some paint is flaking off....all covered under warranty. I did not want one of the convertable MINIs they had, that is what I had last time and I was not a fan of the noise and the limited view out the rear....so I asked for a hard top loaner. They had none, so they gave me this.....a 2006 325xi, loaded.

Not a bad loaner for a week. Too bad it is not snowing, I really wanted to see how the xi compares to quattro and subaru all wheel drive, as I have had both....and currently also have a subaru.

Those are nice, I drive them all of the time (along with all of the other MINI and BMW models). Very comfortable, though I have not driven them for a long period of time.

yeah, I booked about 2 weeks ago...plus, had to wait for the special order fuel level thingy. I don't mind the wait, my MINI sits a lot, mainly just for fun drives, not my daily driver....so waiting is not a problem.

I am excited to have this BMW for the week though, I usually put close to 700 miles a week on my daily driver, so I should have a good feel for this car by the time I return it.

Jeez...you guys are lucky. At my dealership, we don't get loaners. I get stuck sitting at the dealership waiting for 5 hours everytime I have to go down there.

Ebay...$14.99 shipped...gotta love the cheap deal. Fits perfect with the garage.

I had a MCc the last time I had the car in to evaluate the problems....HATED the convertable, hated it. Noisy, poor vision out the back...just not my thing. I have never liked a convertable, and never will. So, this time around, when my service writer set up my appointment, we had a good laugh about....."you know how I know you are gay?.....because you drive an orange MINI convertable!!!" ....you know, from that movie the 40 year old Virgin. Anyway, they set me up and I am not complaining...Xenon, premium audio, leather, tint, and the sport auto is pretty peppy for a 220hp heavy beast. It has run flats, not a fan of those, they are noisy...but overall, I like it and the wife likes it. She really liked it so the next sport wagon will be a 325xi wagon . Kinda a fun way to test drive a vehicle, get one as a loaner so you can do miles on it.

Ralph Schomp MINI rules: I've had loaners (for all my dash and interior fixes) ranging from 325xis to MCCs. No BS, no excuses. I get treated like a freaking VIP Jimbo

I can't look at this thread anymore. It is depressing me due to my dealership's lack of loaners and lack of care for MINI owners.

Don't worry, we beat the crap out of the loaners too. It's pretty fun!

And at Cinci MINI/BMW, we have a crap load of loaners. Sometimes (like today) we wash some loaners two times in one day! Stupid people....lol.

I washed the 325xi for them, it had coffee spilled on the dash, finger prints everywhere, and it was dusty. The car is going back to them next week...only in better condition than they gave it to me. I just can't be driving around in a bimmer that looks like a hooptie...bwahahahahahahaha
