hey! I've found a few people with this production date. call 1-877-ASK-MINI and ask when they expect you to recieve your car. Post your location and car info and estimated date you will recieve it. Let's see how consistent these people are.

Whoops, sorry to brag, but my new date is 8/2... I guess I can't play now...

 

This is sort of pointless. If you check out other message boards.. ex: roadfly.com, mini2.com, minimania.com, and so on you will see it is rarely accurate as parts become short in supply, cars miss boats, cars get damaged in route, and a million other things. To expect BMW to be exactly accurate to the day is a little too much to expect.

When your car makes it to the VPC... then start to pinpoint the date. Before so, will just cause you endless amounts of heartache!

 

the point isn't to see how accurate BMW is. I understand that the time varys for everybody. I just wanted to see how consistent the predictions they make are. I guess you have a fitting name HighAnxiety.

 

I called 1 866-ASK MINI today and they tolk me to expect it around 9/9. I am in Minnesota. I REALLY wanted it for summer!

 

My production date is 8/2, but my dealer told me to expect it in late October!!! I think maybe they're playing worst case scenario???

If you live on the west coast, I'd say that late october seems right... but if you are on the east, then I sincerly hope it gets there before then... (For your sake, and mine... (8/2 date, east coaster))...

My dealer is in Memphis, so it's an east coast delivery - probably out of SC...so you're thinking a couple weeks earlier than that, eh? Yay!!!!

Of course, this is my un-informed un-professional guess... so take it at face value, but if all goes well and it gets on a boat quickly (and that's a total crap shoot), it shouldn't take almost 2 months after production to deliver...
