R50/53 Looking to buy Mini S at MSRP

Dave, from what I've heard, most of the CA dealers that sell at MSRP have pretty long waiting lists. Is that still the case?
Matthew: If that's still true, and you need to get your hands on a MINI sooner, try going out of state. There are several sellers in the Midwest and even on the East Coast that can ship (in covered trucks!), or you can make a fun roadtrip out of it by flying out and driving your car back.
Lots of people on NAM have had good experiences with Classic MINI (Mentor, OH). There are more dealers, but I can't keep them all straight -- check out the Vendor Directory for a list of MINI dealers, as well as after-market parts & accessories and custom MINI tuners.
Since the MINI is smog-legal in all 50 states, it doesn't matter where you buy it. I'm sure that the folks @ Classic have lots of experience helping CA buyers with all of the DMV paperwork, etc. Just remember that you'll have to pay sales tax in CA, not OH (or NY, or MO....) if you decide to bring in an out-of-state car.
Hope that helps.

If you go to South Bay contact Jennifer Osborne. She is the Motoring Manager there.

EDIT, never mind...I'm assuming you mean Long Beach (the city) is in L.A. county. My dumb mistake.

Or OK City. Or Albuquerque. Or Scottsdale. Or Denver. Or Salt Lake. I think the waits are a little less at the first two.
If U want a gen 1 06 tho U better hustle, they're about to cut off production and get gen 2 rolling in the not too distant future.... the 07s will be upon us before we know it. Jimbo
