Don't know where in the country you are, but MINI of St. Louis and Baron MINI in KC both sell at MSRP.

I was talkin to an MA at the Tate MINI in MD. They said that they would take money off of MSRP on cars in stock depending on how long they were sitting on their lot. But I had to order mine, because they didn't have what I wanted on the lot. So MSRP for me.

It's always good to get the car configured exactly the way you want, and you can't go wrong with MSRP, the car is a great value at it's retail price, IMHO.

The car I looked at and bought met my basic criteria: S with a sunroof. And it didn't have what I didn't want: most of the electronic gadgets...computer and nav system. I would not have minded the LSD and some other performance/handling related things, but I will be autocrossing it only occasionally so I won't miss that stuff.

The Hyper Blue is ok, I actually wanted Yellow but was told they discontinued the color for the S. The way I got off MSRP is that I looked at the sticker and saw $550 for the H/K stereo and I told the salesperson no way would I pay $550 for a stereo that sounds like that.

I guess it being end of month and a car sitting on the lot, they said ok, and knocked off full price of the H/K. After buying the car I fiddled with the radio and found it actually sounds fairly nice.

Anyway, I'm happy with the car, and would've gladly paid MSRP for it.

Good luck and hope you're motoring soon!
