tire pressure light is on..help!

i was just motoring along yesterday when i noticed my tire system light was turned on..pulled over and checked my tires, which are the run-flats, and everything seemed fine....checked the pressure and it was good....im stuck to why this happened!...could it be a glitch?

We've had this happen twice. Once when I put a bottle on the reset button and once for no apparent reason. I recommend you reset the light and see if it comes back on.

This happened to me two days ago. Checked my presusre on the tires and my one back right tire was at 16 PSI. I reset the tire pressure monitor light and filled the tire to 33PSI and it hasn't come on again.

check all your tires for pressure differences ,I had my light go on
and found a low pressure and a nail.only visable after tire removal.
these sensors dont sense pressure but rotational speed differences
a slick road can set the alarm on.

Do a search as we have several threads on this subject. Tire pressure lights can come on through U-turns, aggressive driving (gettin' rubber), diferences in tire pressure, etc. I've gotten to the point of trying a reset prior to even checking my tire pressure. It's not an infallable system, don't treat it as such.

First time mine went on I had just pulled onto Buttonwillow race track for the first time. That was a LONG lap. Like others, I've had it go off a couple of times - all false alarms.

16lbs...Yeow , that's pretty low for normal air loss. I'd keep an eye on that tire. The only time my light went on was within 2 blocks of my garage after sitting all night. I pulled over and checked and a tire was down to 19 lbs and then I found the nail . The system worked for me.
