Lucky most folks cars are still under warranty and issues can be left to the dealer to drive them crazy to fix the issues.

 

Oh so the clutch and sunroof noises are features. Ahhh, now I get it. After reading so many of these posts, it seems that most of the little niggles that drive me crazy in my MINI are experienced by others too. YAY!! I am so glad you all share my misery . Hehehehe...

That sunroof noise is a bear, aint it?

 

I have noticed that "clicking sound" between 1st and 2nd as well. My MINI is just nearing the 1200 mile mark. It is a recent development and it doesnt happen at every shift.

I also hear a pretty loud "whooshing" sound coming from just below the front compartment getting up to speed. I cant decide if this is a normal sound from the exhaust, or if I have a "leak" somewhere. Anyone have any idea??? Its a 06 MC.

I also noticed on the bonnett latches, the the paint on the hooks has chipped. Is my bonnet not tight? or is this normal. Anyone have a fix for that?

Other than that, I love the car. I guess all the above is just a reflection of that. I listen to every single noise and nuance and have inspected every nook and cranny.

 

My car going over bumps seems to have a bump/clunk? in the rear end at slower speeds. Cant tell if it is the Mini Jack/Kit or something else?

 

whenever i first run my car after it has set for a lil while... I pull out slowly and hear a loud moaning sound, which sounds like metal rubbing on metal...kinda like the sound an elephant makes. its really annoying, and i have NO clue what it could be. sounds like its coming from the front of the car.

 

Sunroof won't open past the first position, dash rattles, no air to the floor vents. Plastic wheel arches are really flimsy, silver paint on the console arms and the door arms worn off, speakers suck.
But I still love the car, in spite of the little foibles...its a GD go-cart!!!!

My driver door does not unlock witht he key fab, i have to put the key in the door= annoying
My exhaust has this weird rattling vibration after i did the one ball mod, only does it when warmed up, comes and goes, loud= annoying
My stock headunit/cd player just cut out mid ride one day, i cant figure out whats wrong with it, I think its wiring, i replaced it with aftermarket one which i absolutely hate, and for some reason it wont shut off iwth the car so i turn my car off pull the key out and then manually shut my radio off to= annoying, embarassing, hate the look, i want my stock one back in but cant figure out what it is
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Not to mention the fact that the supercharger, intake, pulley, and exhaust make me go TOO FAST, and i have some tickets now. but thats almost a good thing. Plus i take turns way to fast so that everything in my car slides all over, but the car just hugs that pavement HAHA
