Ok, since we're bragging on wives, here's my 2 cents.

Late January, I start thinking about getting something more fuel efficient than my Durango. I look a little, until I run across the MINI, then I look a lot. First week of February, I head over to Bill Jacobs for a test drive. I REALLY like the car, but not sure about how practical it is. (I've got 4 kids under 9.) Valentines day, my wife gives me one of those Hallmark Surprise Bears (with a zippered heart to put the surprise in). In the bear is $1000 for the car. 'Go put that money down on your car, you deserve it', she says. First thing on 2/15, I'm at the dealer and the order went in.

She's a special gal.

The way I figure it, you guys with the awesome, sweet wives/girlfriends owe us guys who got the "mean" ones a thanks 'cause we skewed the odds in you favor. Seriously, that sort of kindness is very touching...y'all are blessed!

 

The secret thing is that the wives like the Mini. That's why we are allowed them.

My wife always wanted a Mini when we lived in the UK. But back then they didn't have the safety features they do now.

So she is chuffed to bits that I am getting one because she wants to drive it. She took a test drive and the salesman and I couldn't get her our of it!!

What makes this deal even better for me is my wife hates the MINI. She has not and will not drive it. I still to this day cannot understand why she dislikes the car so much. There are two things she loves when riding in it. She gets noticed and she can stare at clouds thru the sunroof all drive long. Good thing for me, is more motoring time
