R50/53 Installed Euro Tag today
Hey will this mount to the original front plate holes. Since I moved I was trying to come up with a way to clean up the front of the car. No longer need front plate but the euro would be a cool replacement.

I would so love to get a euro plate (maybe like MEIN MINI), but what after happened to my friend....I don't want to risk it.
Long story short, we were all hanging out in an empty parking lot when a police officer pulls up. He gets out of his car and goes over every one of our cars. He sees my friends 1.8t and his german tag.
He goes "Hey kid, where's your front tag and what is that thing in it's place?"
Friend "It's a european tag sir, just for display"
Cop "Well this isn't europe, no front tags are against the law."
Then he got a $275 ticket.

I live in Ohio and run a Euro plate... Cross your fingers for me.
Just a side note.... A few NAMmers, including myself, have had issues with Europeanplates.com- I'm glad the OP did not. Another site, Europlates.com, seems to have better contact info and customer service from all reports.
PS - great idea with the zip ties. I already had holes drilled for my Ohio front plate but I might do that as well for additional support.

You can't get good beer, but they don't make you "wear" a front plate
