I've been reluctant to drill out the holes on the MCS.
I had a plate theft on my Ghia back in the day because of zipties. Watch out! But then again, that would imply leaving the MC out of sight for longer than ten seconds. I wonder if you could install something coming at the plate from behind the grill, that couldn't be removed from the exterior. Here in California, my only bearable choice is the tow-hook mount. GAH

You are lucky you live in a state with no front plates. I wish I didn't have to run a front plate here in OH.

In the first photo you can see some Pepper White tabs under the middle fake grill trim. Thread 2 zip ties around these. I pre-bent them to hock them and used needle nose pliers to pull thru.
Second photo shows the bracket mounted with out the plate.
Hope this helps
Jibeho,
Your awesome install inspired me. I had originally tried to install the Euro Plate using a tow hook mount but it blocked the fog lights. Your idea worked great. I modified it slightly by adhering a piece of heavy fleece to the back of the frame with double sided tape. Now I can still use the tow hook mount for my CA required front plate when I get it. Way to go.
By the way, I got my plate and frame from Autogeek
