Cobblestone street VS. MCS

I'm moving to a place where I'll have to drive on about 500 yards of cobblestone street to get to and from my house. It's not especially bumpy, but going 5 mph is pretty bouncy. At 20mph, it's smoother. What effect will this have on my shocks? Should I go slower or faster?

Here's my uninformed opinion: don't worry about it -- that's what the suspension is for.

Just get a closable travel mug so your coffee doesn't spill.

Just be prepared for some rattling, especially from the dashboard.

It will cause more wear than normal roads but 500 yards is not that much. I would say drive however is smoothest, if it is bumpy to you, it is bumpy to the car!

Ditto! Rattles will present themselves proudly and loudly.

Noo! Rattles are my worst enemy. Hmm... would non-runflats help in this department at all?

To some extent, as will smaller wheels (with tires with larger sidewalls).

I don't have anything useful to add... but just the other day, a UPS driver came to deliver a package and saw my new MCS. He told me that when he was young, he and a German friend used to tear through cobblestone streets in Europe in classic Coopers and MGB's. You can carry on that legacy!

I live in Tribeca, NYC and although driving faster might seem smoother I can't see myself doing that. What I do instead si that I drive really slow the length of the block; as a result my car has 8500 miles and no rateling and that is incredible given that I live in puddle land.
PS: When taxi cabs see my ride they get really pissed because I drive so slow while in the city. (unless I am in the West Side highway)

Drive away!

Remember, these are sold in Europe, and cobblestones are a way of life. If you're really worried, the Koni FSD would be perfect here.
