Better late than never, I guess, but here is my 2 cents worth.

Whether the MINI driver was young/old, male/female is irrelevent. If the road was a busy multi-lane highway at rush hour or a quiet country road doesn't matter to the two innocent people who died-or their families.

Whether the MINI was actually racing the Scion or not is something that needs to be determined in the investigation. As unreliable as witnesses sometimes can be, the driver of the MINI was doing something to draw attention to themselves. It is highly unlikely that a MINI driving along following the rules of the road and not driving in an unsafe manner would have witnesses saying the MINI and Scion were racing.

This incident requires a thorough investigation to determine what actually happened, who is at fault, and their degree of fault. In order for a complete investigation, the driver of the MINI needs to be responsible enough to come forward-especially if they were not involved. If they feel the need, hire an attorney before contacting the police. But the fact still remains that they need to come forward.

I think that if it was your family that was killed in this accident, you would want to know all the facts, and for everyone involved to come forward. For the family of the people killed, I don't think that is too much to ask.

yes the BIG difference would be less time to react to an oncoming car in your lane , even a little bit. Lots of people killed on single lane roads head on And I also remember seeing a Dragon website full of pics of accidents involving bikes, cars, and trucks. Don't act holier than thou. because you are on a country road.

AND don't get on the forums preachin' about so called idiots who drive fast on public roadways when you yourself drive 110 mph down I-10 in heavy traffic. We certainly have our share of hypocrits on line. As you can see, I do not like two faced people......you know who you are.

In the famous words of Shaggy, "it wasn't me."

Yeah probably.

mmhmm.

From everything in the news, it would look like the MINI was racing. In which case it should def. be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And while there is a bit of a difference between speeding and racing (or 'deserted' Dragon vs. crowded highway), it's all irresponsible on public roads. Yet we all (fine, 90%, don't get yr panties in a bunch) do it at one point or another. Stories like these are wake-up calls. I would say that I am 90% over reckless driving, aged 21, and hearing things like this – and the videos posted – just pushes me more and more towards keeping to the track.
