Accessories questions

Has anyone used a set of these before. They are license plate screws and I thought it would be a neat touch:

Also, I've seen plastic caps for strut tower before on EBay, but now I can't seem to find them. Anyone know where to get them?

looks much better than the round overs that MINI supplied with the "lets motor" plate frame, are those logos from the wheel caps?

I don't think so. Here is the item on E-bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Him being in Brazil is iffy, but for $15 I might take a shot.

$15 is low enough to take a chance, but the photo doesn't inspire confidence for quality. Look at the fit and finish of the bolts, and the logos look like they came off a laser or inkjet printer. The same goes for the other license screws offered by the seller.

I don't thionk they'll work. Take out one of your screws and look at it. It has machine screw threads. These are clearly sheet metal screws. I'm sure they could be forced in, but you would wreck the threads in the license plate bracket.

Too much MINI-ness for me.

My MA asked if I'd like a Cooper S license plate frame for the rear. I opted for "Let's Motor", as it already says "Cooper S" back there. Same with these screws...there's already a MINI logo on the back...why add 4 more?

My 05 Cooper S utilizes bolts not screws and I replaced the stock black ones with stainless steel "bicycle" waterbottle boss bolts.
