My dentist thought I drove a bentley

I was at the dentist last week, and I put my Mini key on the table along with my wallet and phone before sitting down in the dreaded chair - the dentist came by and glanced at the key and said: "You drive a bentley? My partners wife just got one - a continental GT! Nice car!" I was going to let him think I drove one, but I came clean and said no, it was a Mini.

FWIW, the Continental GT and the Flying Spur both use VAG's switchblade key (same style as on the Jetta and the Golf). In the Bentley's it has a metal trim to it and weighs more than the standard key. You also don't need to touch the key to unlock the doors or start the car. The wings logo is kind of similar though.

Sounds like you are getting a real deal on your dental work? She drives a bentley!

Lamborghini uses the same switchblade keys, at least in the Gallardo I got to drive. But, it wasnt as sophisticated as the Bentley, I had to insert it into the ignition No wings, all bull

A Florida dentist's wife driving a Bently? Is that a stereotype or what? People like me can't even spell Bentley.

The dentist's wife is a doc - she's a specialist, and probably makes more than the dentist -

It was the wing logo that got him - pretty funny.

The same thing happened to me at the Bank. The account manager asked what kind of car I drove when he saw the key. Is it a Bentley, he asked, I said no its a MINI. He said he has never seen one of those, so added yeah they are rare and pretty fancy.
