My MC arrived at the dealer so my parents went and checked it out for me while I wait here in socal patiently to pick her up next weekend. I am not for sure what happened but my MC didn't come with the white star rims, instead it came with the alloy silver stars. I swear this was something I specified when I ordered it since I really like the way the white rims look w/ the white roof/mirrors. The dealer is going to do what they can to try to get me some white star rims, but there is no guarantees. My parents like the silver rims better and want me to settle for those instead I am frustrated since I don't have much support from anyone for the white rims eventhough that is what I wanted. I guess I am just looking for some advice from some of you. Thanx in advance for your help!

I say stick to your guns digi! It's your car afterall. I have a DS/W MCS and 2 sets of silver rims. I often wish I had the whites instead. I've been tempted to get a set from ebay more than once!

Bottom line: have the dealer do what they can to get the rims you ordered. If they come up short, start surfin' ebay for a good deal. And remember, [I] you've [I] gotta be happy with your car!!

Motor on!

Hey Digi,
I had almost the opposite experience as you. When I placed my order for Dolly...I ordered the alloy 5 stars. Then a few days later, the "motoring advisor" called to say that someone had backed out on a MINI exactly like I wanted, except it had a few more options. I said "yeah, I want it!" So I went to pick it up, and it had the white rims...I could have cried! My dad talked me into not throwing a fit, and just seeing how I liked them. Everyone loved the white wheels, and now I'm soooo glad it came with them! The white rims totally make a cr/w MINI that much more sassy. Just see what the dealer can do, maybe if you can prove to them that you specified the white rims, they will swap them out for you. If all else fails, maybe try calling MINI USA. Good luck!

Thanx for the advice everyone  I haven't budged on my decision w/ wanting the white rims. The dealer offered to paint the rims on it now, but I felt that was a bit cheesy since I want the stock white rims. They also are going to try to swap rims w/ another MINI on their lot if they have one w/ the white 16' stars. My parents informed me that the dealer said it would cost $1000.00 to order the white rims

My my I can understand being upset not getting the wheels you want.

A little bit spoiled are we ?

Who is paying the bill hmmmmm

One would think you should be happy to have them buy you a car

I am very happy that my parents are getting the car for me, and this wasn't supposed to be a personal issue w/ me and my parents. I am just a bit upset that the dealer didn't get my order straight.

I hope you have good luck in getting the dealer to give you the wheels that you want. Check your order paper work it should state the type of wheels & other acces.
you ordered. If they are not listed as to the style you wanted, then shame on someone for not making it clear.

All wheels look good on a MINI

Happy Motoring

Good news, the dealer swapped rims/tires with another MC on the lot. I did have some paper work that indicated that I had specified the white rims so the dealer honored my request and everything worked out I am not for sure if it was a goof at the factory or the person that was handling my order at the time.
