I have an '05 (8/04) with both windshield and headlight washers, and I don't have the indicator for my wiper fluid. I wish I did, I was in some nasty weather last weekend and ran out in the middle of some snow and crap. Can you retrofit it?

Cool, I wondered what the yellow blinking was..

I'm at about 3/4 of a tank of gas. When I got out earlier, it was real quiet in the garage and i swear I could hear the fuel sloshing around like it was a waterbed. Someone stand just left of the gas cap and push the car down real quick.. anyone else hear that? lol, maybe that sounds stupid, but I have never noticed that

yeah, you'll hear that. I believe the gas tank is baffled, and I know the inside has ribs, which kind of amplify the sound in an empty garage. Normal, though, nothing to worry about unless perhaps a squirrel got in there and is running about .

I have been telling people this for years and everyone thinks I am crazy.
I work at a dealership and I do that all the time when trying to find a car in a lot of 100 cars.
Glad I'm not crazy ~

When pulling into a parking spot at the supermarket be sure you pull all the way in. when you come back out you will find several shopping carts conveniently parked in the same space as your mini

This is always a difficult choice because you're right about the shopping carts, but on the other hand, I worry that if I pull all the way up someone will come whipping into the space thinking it's empty and hit the back of my car.

The trick is to pick a parking space fairly far from the entrance. Most people are lazy (hence parking their carts in your space instead of putting them back) and won't look for a spot that far out if there are spots closer....

Ditto on the parking far away, and I always try to protect at least one side of the car by parking in a spot at the end of a row, divider, etc.

I also always park next to another Mini, if the Fates allow.

What is the process to reprogram the key? I tried pushing the button (05 S) for several seconds (all three buttons) and no reaction by the windows/sunroof. Seems like a pretty cool feature during those warm summer days. Thanks in advance.

PS: the bottom of the door light to shine on the ground, great for "the wife" that drops stuff, now able to see it at night.

I called the local dealer, not a cheap date to have the car reprogrammed, $120! They made it sound like it is the car that needs the programming, not the key, any comments on that from the forum group?

it is the car specifically the body control module. iirc can be done in ones driveway by someone familiar with the procedure.

Is there a BCM reprogramming thread somewhere that one can read? I remember seeing one that required purchasing an adapter cable and having the right software on a Windoze laptop, but if there's a way to do it without all that, I'm all ears....

What buttons are you using to try to get the windows to roll down? Sometimes it can be tricky. Make sure you unlock all of the doors (press unlock twice) and then hold the unlock button down. So in total you are pushing the button three times.

the r53 starter/alternator is a **** job to do, finding a startor on ebay for a r53 m/t sucks a lot when you live in canada.

you can get the device that till up your windows by distance at low cost.

changing the supercharge pulley by myself wasnt a so easy job but it worth it a lot.

I've seen a few other owners park so that the back of their cars are lined up with the next one. There's no law that says you have to pull your car all the way to the front of the parking space. Now if only we could do something about the morons who don't care if they hit our cars just because they drive a "beater"/ company car!

That only works for that direction. I'd be afraid of the "gotta pull through" morons hitting it from the opposite side.
