8 deg F when I got up this morning. Never got about 15 deg. And there was a wind. I stayed in today.
Ugh! - You poor soul!
I remember having to travel to Ithaca one year in late December. Snow piled high and temps were way too cold for a guy like me having lived in the sub tropics for 20 years.

I agree. That was my very thought from the beginning.
Ha. It was in the teens when I woke up this morning. My condo has a bunch of single-pane windows that don’t seal well, and this heat pump is struggling.
No worries about the cold though. I always read and save the files I plan on modifying, both to verify that I have all the latest changes I’ve made and to make sure I can communicate with the car. No need to sit out in the cold to look through them.
I didn’t see anything in my BC1 file that indicated sensitivity. It could still be there somewhere since my version of NCSDummy is old though.
Ha ha - looks like my slow "hunt 'n' peck" typing skills caused me to just miss your latest reply - again.
Yeah I think it was like 17° this morning. I refuse to roll out of bed 'til it at least hit 30.
But thanks @deepgrey !
I was also trying to find adriancl's INPA notes/files when he had tuned my Mini back in June '22.
Unfortunately, all that I have are .bin files which were unreadable with my Hex program or windoze Notepad.
Come Spring - I will definitely have to learn to use INPA and NCS to have a look at how it works. Although as I've heard;...it requires some translation as it's all written in German.
Somehow, in hindsight, I knew I shouldn't have let my subscription to Babble expire.
Here's a fun fact. If you open the glove box and have armrest, you get 7 cupholders in a car for four people, yet nowhere practical to stash a wallet or phone

Yes .
As useless as those (1st gen) glove box cup holders are; as ECS had once pointed out, However they did come with nifty slots (for the time), as a change holder.
Above: the pen holder circled in red.
When we had ordered our '04 R53 for my wife (Oct 16, 2003), it subsequently arrived/delivered to us Nov 22, 2003.
Upon opening up the glove box, included with our owner's manual was a cool, original/factory branded MINI pen in the pen holder. With the pen being simply inscribed: 'MINI'
A few years later that pen went MIA.
20+ years into ownership, since new and now learning that the 1st gens have become a classic (well before antiquity), I still often find myself lamenting over the loss of this pen after al these years.
Knowing I would never be able to find an original replacement; I had to make due with a comparable (size & color) substitute. Unfortunately it is nowhere near the same as having the original one that came with the car
Never used the coin holder myself....(who in this day and age even carries cash???)
It was just staged as an example for the above photo.
The coin holders are just about as useful as the glove box cup holders. I imagine if one did put coins in those slots; I would think they'd immediately tumble out when closing the lid.

Did it look like this? MINI pen
Not sure which of our 4 MINIs this came with, but have always been intrigued by it.
For some reason I always thought I'd remembered ours as being black with the silver MINI wings logo.
My wife drove our Mini everyday for the first 4 years. I myself had 3 other cars of my own so I didn't drive it as much during those first few years...until I decided to buy the Mini for myself.
I always fantasized about finding one of those pens in a glove box during my salvage yard exploration days. Alas, it was not to be.
I did manage to score a couple of original (period) glove box inserts/organizers, though.

Well @Eddie07S - You've encouraged me to do another search...
Ironically - After my original response to @outlandeshnessdue glove box post; I'd actually searched for the original Mini pen.
A few different styles showed up in the results but not the one I just scored from eBay just moments ago.
Thanks for posting up a pic Eddie07s!
My Mini will almost seem whole again!
Over the winter I noticed my left headlight was aimed way too high (not just a couple inches).... so I found this thread on how to adjust. But then I was looking at it and the whole bracket that holds both headlights moved when I tilted up the hood. Hmmmm.
Skip the boring details and here is the solution:
Turn on your headlights and both headlights should activate the leveling motors and point down first then come up to their driving position. If one or both don't you have a leveling motor or electric problem. My left headlight only moved a little bit when the motor activated.
If they both go through the full motion together then adjust as needed.
If one headlight only goes through part of the motion (down then up) you may have the same problem as I did.
There is a ball joint that connects the headlight leveling motor to the headlight bracket (holds both projector and high beams) The whole bracket moves freely on the axis point. The ball joint is way down in there ~ see picture and took me forever to find.
Headlight leveling motor attachment
The good new is, the ball can be "popped" back into the arm on the motor. I used a hook on the high beam end and pulled the bracket back until the ball pops back in.
And guess what? Both headlights were roughly the same. Both motors tilt the headlights down then come up to level. No adjustment on the screws needed.
Lastly. My hood is a little tricky to close and I have to give some pressure when closing on the right side to get it to latch. Well, this is how the ball joint pops out. After closing the hood, the left headlight was aimed up again and I had to do it all over again. The good news is I didn't have to take the whole headlight out... I just opened up the 2 caps and popped it back in again.
Hope this makes sense. Took me a while to figure this one out.
I already cleaned the bcm and the gauges connection and the connection on the fuse box need help I have the same problem can someone send me a link off video fixing it and I’m from Philippines mini cooper parts are hard to find
