As I said in the first post:

"I decide to go see King Kong---it was sold out"

But I didn't say that instead I saw "Fun with **** and Jane". Had I seen King Kong, I may have gotten so hyped up from all the action for 3 hours, I may have reacted differently to this minivan.

I always used to pull the car all the way into the parking space. Now that I have a MINI, I am careful to park
so that the end of MIB is closely aligned with the end of the other cars I park by. I don't want to create a
false empty spot.

What do you think?

I went to FedEx today to drop off a package. Most of the time parking is tight, as usual it was today. To the right of the SUV is a van. He's got a curb, I think he took all the space he could, putting him against the line. I suppose that means it's ok for the SUV to take two parking spaces? To the left were 1-1/2 empty spaces and then it was full for the next 6 slots.

Similar scenario

You will notice that there is a perfectly good space next to the offending vehicle. In fact, in the original post you can see SEVERAL perfectly good spots available. This is the kind of craziness I've been seeing lately: I park so far away from the store that I'm almost in another zip code, there are no cars anywhere around me...and I'm saying NO cars.....at least 30 empty slots. I get out to my car and some truck or SUV will be right next to me! I simply don't get it! Do they think hanging out with my little car will make theirs look even bigger?

Not to be contrary, but there have been times when the only "space" available to me was the line between two ill-parked cars. Then they leave and it looks I was the fool who deliberately parked inappropriately.

That may be true, except in both my scenarios in this thread, there was only one fool. They had plenty of space to park correctly or choose another spot.

Exactly, and that was the reason for this picture

My attitude is that if you can't park in one spot, dont drive it. There have been several occasions where I have told a soccer mom just that when they could not park their Suburban. I was in my 95 GMC Sierra at the time. The other day, I saw a Dodge Viper park across 3 spaces at the local coffee shop. I wish I had been in my truck as I would have parked next to his front end.
