Looks great. How did you get it so smooth?

If you lay it on heavy on the last coat or last two it will. I did my gas cap with like 8 coats and it came out smooth but I was going light. My wheels on the other hand did not come out smooth and I just gave up.

I actually tore it and had to repaint the stripes. Be sure to take up the lining while the paint is still wet. It made it easier for me to keep a good defined line.

After plasti-dipping my wheels a few months ago, I can see its starting to need a touch-up. How do you guys usually do it? With a few coats? Or peel it all off and re-do it all?

Wonder if you could spray some in a bowl and apply with brush? Guessing it would be noticeable BUT the wheels are supposed to be spinning not sitting still.

I'm thinking about spraying some on the shift ****. The leather peeled off and I miss the grip of it. I've not done it because I can't help but wonder if it would just peel off too.

Sometimes 'dorky cheapskate' just won't cut it.

IMHO: Get a new shift **** from Outmotoring. You're going to be touching that thing constantly, affecting the driving experience; the shift **** is no place to go cheap.

The Cravenspeed stainless one is gorgeous

but you can get a bunch of different shifters from them.

This one is hot too:

Dang I might have to get that one for my Chili Red, and my shifter isn't even messed up.

Wow that stainless one.... I can see it cooking my hand here in southwest fl though!

I like the red one just without the red! Will have a look at their site, thanks for posting. It is real hard to get the oem off?

No it's not difficult, I can't remember where exactly but I've seen instructions on here (NAM) for removing it.

just pull up on it, and watch out for your roof! and for you plasti dip stripers, like me, to make the best lines without having a natural seam, you have to peel the tape immediatly off on the last coat of spray

Put more on over the old plasti dip. The new fills in the old where it wears. Amazing stuff!

Here's an idea... Turn your window washer jets backwards. Point them towards the scoop. shoot water into the scoop while driving. Cheapskate IC sprayers! Lol
