How to activate certain features?

Is it only able to be done by a dealer? For instance, my key fob will roll my windows down by holding the unlock button, but when I shut off the car, the locks won't automatically unlock...this is one feature I'm desperately wanting.

What I'm wanting to know is, can this be done with a certain tool (programming)? With my old Jetta, we had what was called a VAG-COM and could alter certain things. Thanks in advance!

However for the time being only your dealer can program all of the features on your car. There are no owner programmable features other than the presets on your radio, sorry....

I prefer the doors NOT unlocking. I think it is a nice safety feature if you shut your car off in a 'not-so-nice' area. I don't want someone being able to open either door from the outside.

My $0.02

I really LIKE the feature because I would otherwise have to unlock myself every time! It just does what I want, without my thinking about it.

If I'm in an area that I'd worry about someone yanking open the door as soon as it unlocks, I think I'd leave it running and motor on outta there
I definately wouldn't take the precious there!!!

Auto Down - Can Be User Programmed

For 2006 models, check your owner's manual as there is a way to program the remote control opening of the windows. I originally wanted it, then decided against it, and when I read the manual found some instructions (don't remember them exactly) on how to set that option. The odd thing was it included instructions for enabling it, but nothing about disabling.

I'm happy with my feature set, but it would be nice to set these things on my own if I wanted to.
