I make lots of little (and big) changes that makes it seem like a different car all the time. The graphics were done by Eric of MileMarker Graphics. If you want his info, PM me and I'll get it to you. He does awesome work, and he's a great guy. his wife has a MINI that he is constantly changing the graphics on. Right now it a Thunderbird look-a-like which he has dubbed the "Bandit Edition" and it totally rocks.

I'm gonna need that info!
Amanda,
I'll guess I'll see you today at the MOO-toring event at Cagle's. Like I posted on AtlantaMinis I'll be in my PT Cruiser. I really want to put a cool graphic on my roof and hope that your guy can do it for me!

Here's Mine
I don't think I've ever seen a Mini with a color that I didn't like. They're all beautiful. Thanks for the pics of the silk green by the way...I haven't seen one til now. Very funky and fun color.
Does anyone have an estimate of just how many Silk Green minis are in the US? I saw someone selling one on eBay and he said there were only a little over 100...I find that *very* difficult to believe!!! (I reckon he was full 'o crap) I have a 2002 Silk Green CVT. It's the very first Mini I ever saw back in 2002, and I ended up buying that very Mini earlier last month. It's actually the only Silk Green I've ever seen in person, that's why I'm wondering how many there are...I figure they aren't common, but I wonder what the exact number would be?
I've been Googling around trying to find an approximate number, but I can't find one...all I find is people calling them "rare." That's a pretty relative term to me. Any ideas on what that means?
Silk green? More like green eggs and ham. (haha) That thing looks like an old Sears & Robucks fridge my gandparents had back in the day. (Way back)
I will stick with what looks as hot as my 05 MCS 6-sp...Chili Red all the way.
Just my $.02...dont be offended.

Not offended--I think it's a love it or hate it kind of color. Definitely does remind me of the old appliances from the 50's or whatever (I think it was meant to be a throw-back color though...)
I don't go for the red myself. Everyone around here has either Chili Red or British Racing Green w/ white bonnet stripes--that's pretty much all you see. *yawn*

When I first started looking at MINI's I thought blue or red
well I ended up with a Pepper White that being said I like the silk green a lot very different color.

Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder, I guess. I had wanted BRG, but when I saw this color, It kinda said, "buy me". I'm really happy I did, and enjoy the chameleon effect of the color as it seems to change as the day does. I really think that mere pics do not do the car justice...in order to really appreciate one, you must see it up close.

Definitely--it's totally different in person than in pictures! Pictures make it look dull and dank, but it's not at all like that in person. In person it reminds me of the sun shining onto Lake Michigan for some reason
Oh FYI, I emailed Mini to see if they'd give me an approximation of how many Silk Greens were sold in the US/North America...no dice. They don't release that info (sort of figured they wouldn't!) It was worth a shot though.
Just got my silkie this past weekend... Had to Drive about 250 miles for it. But was pleasantly surprised at all the bonus features once I got there.
Have done a lot of reasearch and looking before I decide to get a mini, but I'm glad I did! I'm having a lot of fun with mine so far.

Here in the KC MINI club we have a member with a Silk Green/black CVT, goes by the screen name of Hagar. He took it to one of our track days at Heartland Park and I was surprised how well it went. It does sound strange tho, especuially coming out of one of the slow coners! (He has a Milteck exhaust that you can hear quite well when he's on it)
In this pic we were gathering at a local restaurant for our drive to the track, in fact that's the owner walking on the left side of the pic.........
